Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair in specific body areas.
During laser hair removal, the light that is transmitted is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is then converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage prevents or delays future hair growth.
At Optimal Healing Center & Medspa, we utilize the Venus Epileve which is safe for all skin types.
The Procedure is relatively painless and will be more effective than waxing long term. Laser Hair removal generally requires at least six treatment sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

She has over 14 years of experience that includes aesthetics, management of chronic pain conditions, trigger point therapy, women’s health, infectious diseases affecting public health, bio-identical hormones, platelet rich plasma, stem cell therapy for pain management, medical weight loss, sexual dysfunction, hair loss, platelet rich plasma for aesthetics and intravenous vitamin therapies and DOT physicals.
Shyma continues to give back by mentoring nursing students both at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the clinical setting. She currently runs a consulting company that seeks to empower Nurses and Nurse Practitioners on maximizing their career path.
